Dance Floor Etiquette

🕺Let's Keep It Fun for Everyone! Please watch the following video💃

StepWithRy Health & Safety Reminder

  • Line dancing is great fun, and an excellent form of exercise so please bring a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.
  • Whilst you don’t need to wear cowboy boots to line dance, you do need to wear suitable and supportive footwear. We advise you wear a closed toe shoe which will stay firmly on your feet, stilettos are a definite no! A shoe with a slightly slippery sole will aid your movement. As you progress in your line dancing journey you may want to consider a ‘dance shoe’ which will support your foot and aid movement.
  • If you have any medical conditions, please seek medical advice before starting any physical exercise. The learning or performing of any dance is undertaken at your own risk. If you have any medical problems, you dance at your own risk.
  • If there are any steps that you have problems with, for example turns, please inform your instructor and alternative steps can be found for you.
  • Finally, have fun! Line dance is great fun and it is hoped that you find that too.  Remember, there is no such thing as a silly question, if you are finding something confusing, please, chances are someone else doesn’t get it either.

Class Descriptions

Friday — Line Dance Basics

Kick off your week with a class designed just for those starting their line dancing journey. During Friday classes, we break down the fundamentals covering common steps, rhythm, and how line dances are structured. You'll build confidence and coordination as we learn beginner-friendly dances and gradually introduce improver-level dances at a comfortable pace.

No experience needed — just bring your energy and a willingness to step onto the dance floor!

Saturday — Intermediate/Advanced Lessons

Ready to step it up? This class is built for dancers who are comfortable with the basics and eager to take on more intricate choreography. Each session focuses on improving technique, musicality, and memory through intermediate to advanced level dances. Expect faster tempos, syncopated steps, and a whole lot of fun as we refine transitions and explore dynamic patterns.

Sunday - Dance Review

End your weekend off right with a fun and inclusive line dance class for all levels! This mixed-level session is designed to bring both newer and experienced dancers together on the floor. Each class features a review of one beginner/improver dance and one intermediate dance-giving everyone a chance to learn, grow, and groove together.

Whether you're looking to reinforce your basics or try something more challenging, this class is all about connection, exposure, and having a great time with the dance community.
